About FOMC

The Friends of Mills Canyon is a volunteer group dedicated to preserving this special area and maintaining the Ed Taylor Trail.

This group was formed in 1986 by Marjorie Taylor (wife of the late Ed Taylor), Greg Holquist, Ken Bower, Anita Say and Bill Freedman. Gerry Whitcomb is currently the Chairman of the Board.

Our adopted goals are:
- Maintain the Ed Taylor Trail
- Preserve the integrity of the Mills Canyon Wildlife Area
- Function as a citizens group with the city to improve the canyon and it’s trail system
- Establish a Education Program about the canyon.

This group meets the third Wednesday of each month from 7pm to 8:30pm at the Burlingame Recreation Center and sponsors programs the second Saturday of each month. We welcome new members.
